A Brief History of Dentistry
Going right back to some of the first historical records on dentistry, in 2000 BC the people of Iraq believed that tooth decay was caused by worms. By the year 800 BC an ancient civilization from Italy were carrying out real dental treatments. These included using pieces of precious metal to hold loose teeth in place and constructing false teeth from animal and human teeth. Working as a dentist is more than just treating people with problems in their mouth; it is about educating people about the prevention of these problems. Dentists must also get used to working with children. Some dentists decide to work solely with children, some see this as incredibly important as getting the children into good habits will mean less treatments in later life. [Read more...]

There are not many reasons why people cannot get dental insurance but there are some instances where this does occur.
